It's certainly a bit difficult to compare Dio's works from the 21st century to the classics of the 80s or to rank the albums in this light, but as individual albums both Killing the Dragon and Master of the Moon are great recordings. Master of the Moon simply contains high-quality and atmospheric heavy metal with wonderful vocals, i.e. everything you can hope for from Dio.   Apr 11, 2024

... And Justice for All is a great album as a whole and definitely one of Metallica's top 3 albums. The album can also be considered Metallica's last thrash album and the end of an era. It will be almost 36 years since the release of the album, but the times when you listened to this album as a young boy will never be erased from your mind. "Sacred Heart" does not quite rise to the sharpest peak of Dio's production, and on the next album "Dream Evil" we heard the band's strongest performance after the debut album "Holy Diver". However, "Sacred Heart" should not be skipped under any circumstances and it is an underrated work in terms of its best moments. If you ask heavy music listeners which Dio albums they should get when getting to know the man's solo production, many will automatically name Holy Diver and The Last In Line as the first. "Live Evil" defends its place as a concert documentary for the first collaboration between Ronnie James Dio and Black Sabbath, but the foursome's best concert recording had to wait another 25 years into the future. This came true when the band left the songs of the Ozzy era completely aside and rose to a new renaissance under the name Heaven & Hell. Regardless of whether you like Deep Purple or even hard rock/heavy in general, "Machine Head" is an undisputed popular music classic and one of the most important hard rock records of all time. The album is a worthy case, and suffers the most from the fact that the band was at the very end when making it, and as a result, the material is not at the level of the previous masterpieces. In retrospect, the fact that the previous Deep Purple records were simply brilliant makes 'Who Do We Think We Are' worse than it actually is. It is probably fair to say that this isn’t the best from the Tony Martin era, but hell, it’s pretty damn good. And since Sabbath themselves haven’t cared to highlight this phase of their career, it’s definitely worth a pick. And if there’s one thing admirable in the tradition of heavy metal, it’s the joy with which we’ll eagerly search the litters of history for unrepeatable relics. All in all, "The Battle Rages On" is a harmless album. It has it's fair share of problems but the good moments manage to make this album salvageable. If you're a Deep Purple fan and you want to complete your collection with this album then get this album, it doesn't do any harm. Otherwise, don't bother. I like the nice analog sounds on this old album. The hit song "Hush" is a nice rocker, but my personal favorites are the instrumental starter "And The Address" and "Mandrake root", which has very good psychedelic influences in it. Sadly, there's maybe too many boring cover songs on this LP to make it a truly classic album.   Apr 4, 2024

bathory 특유의 어두운 쓰래시의 맛이 후기에 완성시킨 바이킹 메탈과의 혼합된 작품. 가오 잡는 바이킹메탈이 아닌 바이킹을 정말 잘알고 좋아하던 블랙/쓰래시 밴드의 작품이라고 보면 된다. 앨범 제목부터가 가오에 지배되었고 a fine day to die라는 명곡이 탄생했다. 남자의 앨범이에여ㅎㅎ   Dec 9, 2024

아주 좋다. 그동안 AILD 앨범을 정주행하면 타이틀곡 포함 몇곡을 제외하고는 별로였던 경우가 많은데, 이 앨범은 오히려 싱글 이상으로 앨범 퀄리티가 뛰어나다. 듣기도 좋고 AILD 전매특허 메탈코어를 잘 즐길 수 있는 수작이나… 이 라인업이 고작 3년만에 해산되었다는게 아쉬울 뿐이다. 앞으로 이들의 미래는 어떨지, 그야말로 Through Storms Ahead할지 궁금하다.   Nov 21, 2024

여전히 Opeth는 Opeth입니다. Ghost 앨범을 기점으로 서서히 희석되기 시작한 데스메탈의 색채가 거의 20여년의 시간을 지나 다시 돌아왔습니다. 간단히 비교하자면 In Cauda Venenum 앨범에 Watershed 스타일을 한 스푼 넣은듯합니다 10집 이후부터 보여준 아트 록 적인 Opeth의 음악과 Damnation 앨범 이후의 스타일이 조화로이 엮여진 여전히 Opeth 라는 이름에 걸맞는 작품입니다.   Nov 30, 2024

80-90 크로스오버 스래쉬 밴드는 많이 갖고 있지 않은데 이 밴드는 좀 더 날카로운 면이 많은 듯. 2008~2011년도부터 리마스터본에 plague ep가 더 들어가는데 2011년도 버전은 odeon 라이브에서 일부 곡을 더 넣어줘서 총 24곡이 들어간다. 앨범 타이틀이 game over이지만 game over는 이 앨범에 들어가지 않는다   Dec 4, 2024
