Condition Hüman is the second Queensrÿche album with new singer Todd La Torre. The album is full of great songwriting, good melodic metal riffs, soaring vocals & widdly guitar solos. There is no doubt that Queensrÿche has a bright future so long as they continue to fill their Progressive / Heavy Metal roots. Nov 5, 2022

Deception Ignored is one of the most overlooked Technical Thrash Metal albums of all time & is also huge step-up from the band previous albums. Nov 4, 2022

eleven years is quite a long time, especially in the music scene. After such a long time, some groups are no longer able to follow up on the quality of their previous albums. Fortunately, this is not the case of Dragonland who released great Progressive / Power Metal album. The music is diverse, often changing and slightly different from their older work, but overall is excellent. Nov 3, 2022

combination of old school Heavy / Power Metal. This album is all killer and no filler - highly worth getting, as it is timely even in the present time. Nov 2, 2022

I am not huge fan of Old School Death Metal, I prefer more Melodic Death Metal, but this album is great. The music is varied and at the same time so heavy with an excellent flow and a lot of energy. Oct 30, 2022

This record is a real hit-or-miss release. But I still do not understand, why is this album so heavy underrated by the old fans. The album is full of good ideas and from my point of view, it even contains better vocals than on the previous ones. Oct 28, 2022

surprisingly very good Melodic Power Metal album. The band consists of two former bandmates from the rock band H.E.A.T. Oct 27, 2022

it's not a style of music that I like, but it's listenable and the album has some decent beats. However, not enough for me to give a higher rating. Oct 26, 2022

After Messiah Marcolin left the band, Candlemass composed and recorded an incredibly strong record with new singer Tomas Vikstrom. He is really an excellent singer with some high notes & is also technically perfect. The guitar riffs are not as heavy or crushing as they were in the past, but they are still excellent. Oct 26, 2022

Music on Beyond the Crimson Horizon is an excellent example, how Epic Doom / Power Metal was meant to sound. Dark, atmospheric, melancholic & brooding. Very good album. Oct 26, 2022

Doctor Butcher was the side project of Jon Oliva (Savatage) and also featuring later Savatage guitarist Chris Caffery. Music is combination of Heavy / Power Metal and is more straightforward and harsh than their main group. Oct 26, 2022

This is a great album. I'm a big Stratovarius fan, I would even say that I like Timo Tolkki s singing as much as later Timo Kotipelto s. Dreamspace is the last to feature guitarist Timo Tolkki on vocals & this was also the first album that long time bassist Jari Kainulainen performed on. The musicians are at their creative heights and felt free to experiment with whatever they wanted to and you can hear this freedom of choice and courage on this album. Oct 26, 2022

Solitude Aeturnus third full length album is an great example of everything going right. The guitar riffs / solos, vocals, drums, bass, production and lyrics are great. This album brings forth a formidable ocean of emotions alongside some classy, old school Epic Doom Metal musicianship. Oct 26, 2022

it's a pity, that this great album is so underrated. Force of Habit takes a different direction, its more Power Metal than Thrash. The production is absolutely amazing, everything sounds like it should. They are focusing on slower songs with downtuned guitars and a number of experimental elements. Oct 26, 2022

Max is back. He is an icon in the Metal music & his legacy needs no explanation to the metal music fans and if you have any knowledge of Soulfly / old Sepultura you will be expecting a certain kind of aggressive music, blended with tribal beats, energy music and heavy riffs. Oct 25, 2022

One of the biggest changes on album is replacement of vocalist. Personally, I think that Coburn Pharr (later he also sang Annihilator album Never, Neverland from 1990) was a good singer, but most die-hard fans did not welcome his arrival & also a partial change of bands style. However, I also like Escape to Nowhere album and overall I rate it quite positively. Oct 24, 2022

great album, I really like it. It is a high-quality release by one of the best Melodic Progressive Metal band. It is full of technical passages and contains a handful of great tunes that I have been humming to myself countless times in the current month. Oct 23, 2022

Razor's music will never be well liked by the non-metal community, but that just makes it all the better. If you're a fan of Speed / Thrash Metal as I am, then you should be able to easily liked this sort of music. Oct 23, 2022

One of the best Razor albums. Although the riffs throughout the album remain fairly simple, they are catchy and fronted by very good solos. There are no intros / outros, no interludes, no ballads & no flirting with other genres. Just great old school Speed / Thrash Metal. Oct 23, 2022

Executioner's Song is fairly simple album, however I was impressed by its energy and directness. It isn’t the sort of album that is a crucial part of anyone’s collection but it’s a damn fine way to satisfy a hankerin’ for this old school Speed / Thrash Metal music. Oct 23, 2022

after injury of Rob Mills in a car accident, who was at the time a drummer of Razor, Dave Carlo decidet to used a drum machine and programmed it to match Mills' skills. Overall Open Hostility is a solid release for the circumstances the band were under at the time. Oct 23, 2022

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024
