Mini LP with five songs that basically started Helloween's career. A great debut from the great band. The music was something new and it is Melodic Speed Metal with a little Heavy & Power Metal and you could already hear that distinct Helloween sound. album has an excellent line-up, no other band had three members with the same name. This is really consistent and aggresive Thrash Metal album with some very impressive moments and you can not stop headbanging for a second. Insult to Injury has good and at the same time funny cover. The music is sometimes slower as on the previous two albums, but on the other hand more sophisticated and melodic, keeping its hard side (more changing riffs). Compared to the past, every single element of has matured and improved. Sabaton's 10th studio full-length offer another conceptual album about the First World War (they covered the same period on The Great War). Everything that the band is known for is here again. Album delivers the same catchy epic Power Metal, with big choruses, supported by keyboards, perfect for the festival crowd. Tales From The Thousand Lakes is for me one of the highlights of Amorphis career. The music is very atmospheric and combines Melodic Doomy Death Metal spiced with folk melodies, melancholic keyboards and overall a very epic feeling. 아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025

The "Ram It Down" is a very underrated album, but in 1988 in the german Metal Hammer looked like a new classic by the soundcheck.Otherwise the "Ram it Down" and the "Hard As Iron"(with thundering riff) are great fast classic Priest songs. LA메탈의 시작을 알리는 역사적 데뷔작. 빈스닐의 거친 코맹맹이 보컬은 아직 뚫리기 전이고 믹과 토미의 연주도 거칠다. 그런데 합주가 시작되면 니키의 베이스와 어우러져 아주 그럴싸한 곡들이 나온다. 아니, 앨범 전체 곡들의 멜로디가 좋아서 버릴 곡들이 없다. 몇개 히트곡에 의존했던 3,4집과는 수준차이가 크며 2집에도 크게 뒤지지 않는다.   Mar 8, 2025
