Vektor are Technical Thrash Metal band with many riffs and solos, but in some ways "Terminal Redux" sees Vektor delving more into Death Metal territory. Not only are the vocals reminiscent of a less irritating Chuck Schuldiner, but a lot of the proggier passages evoke Death’s later career in terms of overall vibe. Mar 11, 2023

"Blackout" is Scorpions eighth studio album and during the writing process of the album lead singer Klaus Meine losing his voice. He had to undergo surgery on his vocal cords and was uncertain as to whether or not he would be able to record. Demos of the material were recorded with singer Don Dokken. However none of those recordings are featured on the album and Dokken is only credited with backing vocals. All music is composed by Rudolf Schenker. Mar 11, 2023

"Taken by Force" is Scorpions fifth studio album and was the first album to feature drummer Herman Rarebell and the final studio album to feature guitarist Uli Jon Roth. "Van Halen III" is band's eleventh studio album and first & only studio album to feature lead vocalist Gary Cherone (Extreme). It is also the last to feature bassist Michael Anthony, who only appears on three album's songs while the rest of the bass parts are played by Eddie Van Halen. Album reached No. 4 in the U.S. and achieved gold status, but was commercial disappointment for the band, whose previous four albums had all been chart-topping, multi-platinum sellers. Mar 8, 2023

Italians Marco Garau's Magic Opera combine Symphonic Neoclassical Power/Heavy Metal, while they are influenced by groups like Helloween, Rhapsody of Fire and Malmsteen. However, compared to the greats, album has several shortcomings, even through quality music. The first is the bland sound of guitars and bass. Another is a less pronounced singing and sometimes addition of growling, which just doesn't suit the performance of the music. Mar 5, 2023

Dragonfly combine Symphonic Power/Heavy Metal, and even though they are from Brazil, musically they remind me the most of the Italians Rhapsody of Fire. However, in terms of quality, they are a step lower. The music is quite good, but it doesn't contain as many strong ideas, musical twists and top musicianship. Mar 5, 2023

On first solo album "Rejoice in the Suffering", Todd La Torre shows a different concept and perception of music than his home band Queensrÿche. The music is harder, more direct and metal oriented, without significant progressive elements. It combines elements of the 80s, 90s and the present with an emphasis on Power Metal. Mar 4, 2023

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024
