A fun lil' fusion of Drone and Stoner Metal. The album starts off with a rather ambient Drone piece and progresses into quite heavy Stoner Doom songs, and it's quite the experience they give the listeners. Sep 27, 2015

This is a well done young-blood Thrash album. The vocals absolutely rip, and with the harsh guitar sounds they make a super thrashy sound. Sep 26, 2015

What a freaking awesome record! There are so many wonderful songs. All right, I'll admit it. Every single song is perfect. Sep 26, 2015

You can call this a polished version of Forensick. And it has frankly gone much better. More of a Death Metal approach seen in this album. The sporadically heard amazing moments make Necrholocaust a good one. Sep 26, 2015

Amazing Old School Death Metal stuff. Even though the recording quality is trashy the individual songs are crafted so well that it pretty much overshadows the from-time-to-time grainy sound. A great one! Sep 26, 2015

This album, upon first impression, seems like a pretty good take on modern Thrash Metal. However, a few more listens will tell you that it's a pretty mediocre one. The riffs are like... "naw". Sep 26, 2015

'Tis some amazing Melodies presented in a beautiful, blackened fashion. One of the best Atmospheric Black records out there in my humble opinion! Sep 24, 2015
Kildneybean 85/100
Better than their previous effort. Much more straightforward and goes right to the point. Skull crushingly brutal too. Sep 24, 2015
Kildneybean 75/100
Egregiously brutal Death Metal work from Mexico. You can hear that they're trying to be as brutal as they can, and it sounds really messy and unfocused at times. Plus the movie samples can feel overdone. Other than that it's a decent Brutal Death album. Sep 24, 2015

A nice Extreme Metal hybrid. The songs are generally well written with awesome riffs and vocal parts, and the right amount of heaviness to top it off(which differs from track to track). R.I.P. David Gold. Sep 23, 2015

This is some really fucked up Death Metal. The songs are so brutal to the point where it's scary and uncomfortable to listen to. All the nastiness that Extreme Metal has to offer concentrated in one single record. Sep 23, 2015
Kildneybean 85/100
Genuine US Power Metal. The original album cover, while being so silly, fits right in with the sound and lyrical content these guys offer the listeners. A satisfying album with lots of fun songs. Sep 22, 2015

Pretty much a copypasta of the former album, but with the progressiveness gauge turned up a notch. The vocalist's super high vocals is somewhat annoying, but hey, at least it's not James Labrie level tomfoolery. Sep 22, 2015

This is an overdone Progressive Thrash Metal album. That is, the techniques, time signature changes, and ripping proggy guitars make the songs overly progressive. Sep 22, 2015
Kildneybean 90/100
One of the best Old School Death Metal style albums, released post-2000. Dead Congregation has some top notch riff writing skills. The cover art, so gloomy and somewhat unsettling, perfectly represents the sound they go for. Sep 22, 2015
Kildneybean 85/100
Good Death Metal work; riffs and blasting drums that go hand-in-hand with the brutality. The songs aren't all that memorable, but all in all it's pretty good I'd say. Sep 22, 2015
Kildneybean 95/100
Can't believe I haven't made a comment on this amazing album. It's like slllooooowwwly drifting away in a lake of lukewarm brimstone and quicksilver, and it's freaking brilliant. Sep 20, 2015

I hereby worship the magnificent drone frog. He bestoweth us with a melting pot of Drone, Doom, and Dank Stoner Metal, and blesseth us with overdriven beauty. Sep 20, 2015

A rather messy Crossover Thrash album. Very disoriented and goes all directions, but at the same time is really fun to listen to. After all, maybe being messed up is what GWAR is good at. Sep 20, 2015

Maiden are pretty much back and running, full blown, a hundred percent. UP THE IRONS!!!!! \m/ Sep 20, 2015

Buoyant, light songs with insightful lyrics. The album is not that Metal and rather feels like a decent Progressive Rock album. All the individual songs are good but they somewhat feel the same. The basswork is amazing on this album btw. Sep 20, 2015
Kildneybean 90/100
Black Sabbath-y early Doom Metal done really good. Some songs are very catchy, some have great riffs, and overall the songs are written so well. Sep 19, 2015
Kildneybean 90/100
Sabbath riffs, Sabbath feeling, Sabbath imagery, and almost everything Sabbath. They shouldn't be ashamed though, because they've managed to create an album almost equally great. Sep 18, 2015
Kildneybean 90/100
Beautiful riffs presented in a fashion that holds your attention during the whole album. That's why the songs are around 7 mins on average but don't feel lengthy. Sep 17, 2015
Kildneybean 60/100
Murky Black Metal. Myrkur is a one-woman dutch BM band, and this is her first ep release. This band acheives its atmosphere through choir-esque female vocals sounding just like that from Lord of the Rings. I found it hard to thoroughly enjoy the album because the songs felt like a jumble of subpar riffs structured poorly. Sep 17, 2015

Mother Russia can produce some pretty good Black Metal, with her great woodlands inspiring artists to build up a great atmosphere for a solid Atmoblack album. Needless to say that this album deserves ninet....[Message Corrupted] Sep 16, 2015

Crossbreeding Hardcore and Crossover Thrash(which is already a hybrid of Hardcore and Metal) can produce fun results. Very, very fun in this case. Sep 16, 2015

Great Brutal Death work with indecipherable growls and mind numbing riffs! I'll give a total point of ninet... Huh? What? Putin doesn't approve? Agh, oh well. Guess I'll have to follow the Czar's order then. Sep 16, 2015
Kildneybean 90/100
Robust, solid-as-hell Death Metal at its best. Feel the unique feeling they pull out, so morbid and unsettling, yet captivating. They know how to forge negative human feelings into a form of art. Sep 15, 2015
Kildneybean 90/100
"The" Crossover Metal I'm talking about! Super good stuff, it really makes you nonchalantly headbang to the thrashy songs. Sep 15, 2015

Nov 4, 2024

Their most representative album of the eighties, full of innovation and class, with forceful themes and a benchmark in style for the hard rock genre, in fact it is their best-selling work to date! My personal precise rating is (94/100) Faves: Criyng In The Rain and Don´t Turn Away! Oct 30, 2024

완벽하다. 지금와서 painkiller 정도의 힘을 기대하는 것은 무리지만 관록과 경험으로 영그러진 놀라운 앨범을 냈다. 엔지니어링도 크게 한몫했다. Oct 31, 2024
