A good album. Amazing tracks like "Sun Doesn't Rise", "Kil Tomorrow", the long "Destroy the World Around Me". But that's about it. "Our Own Way" also deserves a mention. Good mix of new metal stuff with heavy riffs. The other not-so-great songs don't detract from the experience. Some good moments in them too.   Jul 27, 2024

The album starts off on fire with hit after hit, falls off a bit on "Mic Check", but comes back with two bombs: "Sleep Now in The Fire" and "Born of a Broken Man". In the second half of the album, I think "Voice of the Voiceless" is a notable highlight, but that's about it. It's not better than Rage's first album, but it's probably their second best album. This was a big step backwards. Machine Head hopped on the Nu Metal trend, though at this point they were too late to be an important player... and they also didn't play it very well. The odd Grunge number "Message in a Bottle" is the best track here.   Jul 27, 2024

Personally, never been a big fan of Lacrimosa's style. It's too operatic with not enough focus on guitars. Rhythm section is super boring too. Builds awesome atmosphere in places, but there's little payoff due to the lack of energy or power.   Jul 27, 2024

Another phenomenal delivery of Melodeath. Might even be my favorite of their old school Melodeath albums. In Flames have always had a knack for making their songs "catchy" and that still holds true even on their older Death Metal material; this one ends with many of the finest songs of their 90's era.   Jul 27, 2024

85-90, 예전에 빽판으로 즐기던 음반. 운이 좋게 다시 시디로 구입하게 들어보게 되었다. 지금 이 시점에서는 좋게 들렸고 시원시원했다. 녹음은 거칠긴 하나 가끔 너무 갑갑한 믹싱이 되어 있는 메탈음반이 많은데 차라리 이런 식으로 만드는게 낫다 싶다. 1,2집도 언제인가는 구해지지 않을까 생각해본다.   Oct 30, 2024

어쿠스틱 기타, 첼로, 플루트 등을 이용하여 녹음한 어쿠스틱 사운드의 작품이다. 그러나 표현하고자 하는 사운드의 방향성 자체는 무겁고 진지하다. 멜로디가 약간 서늘한 냉기를 품고 있다. 더운 여름에 들으면 시원함을 느낄 수도 있지만 대체로 가을의 분위기에 잘 어울린다. 커버아트와 음악의 매칭이 절묘하다.   Nov 4, 2024

90-95. 이 시기의 블가 앨범들은 다 좋은 듯. hansi의 보컬을 더 느끼고 싶어서 사모으기 시작한 앨범인데 그렇다고 나랑 맞는 음악을 하는 밴드가 아닐 수 있었지만 지금까지 몇번들어본 결과는 만족스러운 행진 중이다. the eldar같은 곡은 지금의 나에게는 최고의 곡. 인트로+본곡 같은 스타일로 중복이 되는데 큰 단점같지는 않다. 조화롭게 잘 넘어갔다.   Nov 8, 2024

95-100 2024년까지 나온 오케스트라와의 협연 음반 모든 것을 통틀어 최고다. 다 어설픈 편곡때문에 그냥 원곡 듣고 말지 라는 생각이 드는 반면 이 음반은 최소 제대로 만들어진 영화음악 하나 들었다 할 정도로 편곡자체가 매우 잘 되어 밴드와 오케스트라가 제대로 융화 예상과 달리 스튜디오로 앨범을 냈지만 dvd 2disc를 사면 라이브 시디가 포함되어 있는 듯 하다.   1 day ago

훌륭한 데뷰. 1집을 꼭 사야 할까라는 생각으로 살다가 이제야 얻어걸린 느낌으로 사게 되었다. 물론 1집을 필수라고 여기지 않았지만 후회도 없다. 보컬이 멤버들보다 나이가 10여살 많은 걸로 기억하고 게디리의 좀 더 듣기 좋은 버전이라고 생각이 든다. 다만 믹싱이 마음에 들지 않아서 살짝 밋밋하다. 보컬과 드럼이 살짝 뒤로 간 느낌.리믹스가 절실하나 과연?   Nov 7, 2024
