Twilight Time

Considerably better than the debut, but still not a masterpiece. The level of the compositions is a bit fluctuating and Tolk's vocals are not convincing. Still, a good album that is definitely worth checking out.

Actually bit underrated in my opinion. Some very good songs, such as Hands of Time and title track. Also mixing is hugely better than on Fright Night. This is so much better than debut and evolution of band is insane. Still some weaker tracks and bad vocals ruin this album from being one of their bests.

이게 정상적인 1집같다. 앨범커버는 총 3개이던데 메킹 커버가 그냥 그나마 제일 무난한 느낌이다. 그래도 역시 전문 보컬이 필요해 보이기도 하고 아직은 다듬을 것들이 많아 보인다.

이 앨범을 듣고는 될성부른 싹인지 알 수 있을 듯 하다. 거친 면이 많지만 분명히 좋은 음악이 담겨있다.

not the best album from Stratovarius, but still good album

Stratovarius' early material seems quite maligned (maybe because of the vocals?) but I find it to be fully competent Power Metal. Generic, but certainly full of great melodies.

전작보단 좀 나아졌지만 여전히 재미없는 음악이다. 곡전개가 상당히 유연해졌고 이곳저곳 번뜩이는 부분들이 보인다. 1,2,7,8번은 들을만한거 같다.

The Hands of Time같은 곡은 꽤 준수해서 베스트 앨범 14 Diamonds에도 수록되었다. 후기작들에 비할 바는 절대 아니지만 나름대로 이 때의 느낌도 나쁘지만은 않다. 무엇보다 전작에 비해 훨씬 발전했다.

전작이 애벌레였다면 지금 이 앨범은 나비가 되기위해 번데기의 접어든 앨범이랄까? 아직 나비급에 힘은 못보여주지만 이앨범으로 엄청난 아름다움을 뽐내는 나비가 되었당

미숙했던 1집에 비해 많은 발전을 이루어냈다. 티모톨키의 선굵은 송라이팅이 빛을 발하기 시작한다. The hands of time, out of the shadows, lead us into the light 는 전성기 명곡들과 비교해도 꿀리지 않는다고 생각. 그외에 madness strikes at midnight, twilight time도 꽤 느낌있다. 티모톨키의 보컬은 다듬어지지는 않았지만 음색이 제법 괜찮다.

Lead Us into the Light은 흔히 이들의 최고 발라드곡이라 뽑히는 Forever와 비교해도 꿀리지 않는 곡이다. 하지만 다른 곡들은 아직 듣기에 부담스러운 면이 있다.
