Ronnie James Dio and the 80s, what else is needed to complete a masterpiece?

Damn it's a fun album! Objectively viewed, Pariah's Child is not a particularly strong album and a few songs belong only in the scrap heap, but the whole is so fun and engaging that I would like to forgive even the bigger problems. Give it a try, I think you'll be surprised. But don't take the music too seriously, that's not what the album is about.

I think I'm brave enough to say it: Dance Of Death is an insanely good album and definitely in the top-3 of Iron Maiden's releases. The song material is really versatile and of high quality and there is not a single dead moment on the album. Dickinson's vocal performance is incredible considering her already relatively old age. The album is really underrated and if you manage to turn your eyes away from the shocking cover art, you might be positively delighted.

The first clearly weaker album in Rainbow's production. The more commercial line is unfortunately blatantly visible and the epic and monumental power-metal classics of the Dio era are just a memory in the air. Only I Surrender and the title track are memorable songs, although Spotlight Kid and Vielleicht Das Naechste Zeit are also decent songs. Otherwise, the material is weak and the otherwise brilliant Joe Lynn Turner cannot save this mess.

A quality album, although the lack of bass is a clear problem. The song material is consistently strong and there are no dull beats in the album. The last classic that shaped the genre, after this the band has only languished deeper in the swamp of commercialism.

Great comeback. Really worth listening.

Without Clansman, this album would have been pretty horrible. Thank god Bruce came back after this.

Weak album from SA. Really boring, idea-dead, and too peaceful. I dare say that even the much-maligned "Talviyö" is better than this. Luckily, the new album is worth listening to again.

Worst Priest album, change my mind. Rocka Rolla was bit goofy but it had its moments, same with Jugulator. But Demolition is just too long, boring and it really doesn't have good songs. Luckily, Priest made comeback with next record.

Most underrated Dio album! Few filler track makes this album bit too long and uneven but first 4 tracks, title song and My Eyes are just brilliant. Also guitar work is pretty enjoyable. Keyboards on this album is played by Jens Johansson, but he really doesn't shine. I think they should have used more keyboards 'cause Johansson is Mr Stratovarius guy after all. Anyway, great and totally misunderstood album, that really deserves some attention from you.
