Happy birthday Powerslave (3th of September), one of the best albums of all-time! Sep 4, 2024

I dare say that "Mandrake Project" is Bruce Dickinson's best album. The song material is quite high-quality throughout the album, and Dickinson's vocal performance is also commendable. Excellent album. Sep 3, 2024

I really don't have much to comment on here, as Bent Out Of Shape is simply average. Good and bad songs, good ones a little more, raising the rating to just 80, nothing more, nothing less. Aug 29, 2024

One of the best albums ever. The whole created by the wonderful songs and the story is amazing. Aug 27, 2024

An excellent album that is overshadowed by the band's classic albums (Visions, Infinite). And even without a reason! The song material is strong throughout the album, and the playing is really competent and functional. On top of everything, Kotipelto is in the grip of its life, and the album is therefore not really wrong, if you don't take into account the slightly too long duration. A really great album. While there is no song I really dislike on this, the album is weaker overall than their earlier works. The mainstream influence works here, but it's not the ideal Priest sound. For the high-speed, rifftastic Judas Priest of the past, check out Stained Class, but if you don't mind a little hard rock influenced metal, British Steel is pretty much the best Priest album of its kind. Not bad, but nowhere near the best. Aug 24, 2024

Although "Walls Of Jericho" contains a few decent songs, Helloween's debut album is unusually poorly produced and features a weak vocal performance by Kai Hansen. The song material is also quite uneven, and you can't really get anything out of most of the songs even after many listens. It's still not a complete failure, and the album has its moments. There just aren't that many of them, and "Walls Of Jericho" is one of the weakest albums of Helloween's long career. Aug 22, 2024

A very successful whole without a single clearly weaker piece or failed section. Tony Martin's vocal performance is great, and the rhythm group Powell-Cottle works very well. When you add Tony Iommi's recognizable (and very functional) guitar playing to this, we are already talking about a really hard level album. Really great work. Aug 21, 2024

An excellent album that can be considered a return to the band's trash era. The song material is full of real gems, but unfortunately also weaker, clear filler songs. Mainly, the level is still high, and in addition, guitarist Kiko Loureiro's contribution to the album should be mentioned, because he is one of the best guitarists on earth. Definitely the band's best since "Youthanasia". Aug 20, 2024

Originally intended as a Stratovarius album, "New Era" contains a lot of material of different levels, but still fulfills its purpose as a relatively entertaining power-metal album. Of the three different singers, Kiske manages his plot the best, having the honor of singing in the album's clearly best songs as well. Unfortunately, there aren't many of these peak moments and the album's value is also hampered by a clear uniformity. It's still worth giving it a chance! Aug 19, 2024

Definitely one of the best albums of Megadeth's career, even if towards the end the quality of the compositions drops a bit. The level of the production is great, every musician is at their best, and the interesting lyrics add more depth to the songs. A great piece that doesn't quite get the credit it deserves. Deep Purple's "Perfect Strangers" is a stunning comeback that shows the band's classic line-up is still going strong. The album combines an iconic sound with a fresh energy, and songs like "Knocking at Your Back Door" and "Perfect Strangers" are among the band's best. This album is undoubtedly one of the highlights of Deep Purple's career. Aug 11, 2024

"Stormbringer" is a worthy follow-up to Deep Purple's hit album "Burn". There are strong moments on the album, such as the title song "Stormbringer" and the beautiful "Soldier of Fortune", the whole is more uneven. Funk and soul influences bring in new tones, but at the same time they break up the unity of the album. "Stormbringer" is not a bad album, but it is clearly overshadowed by its predecessor and is a weaker work as a whole. Aug 10, 2024

"Burn" is Deep Purple's classic 1974 album that featured vocalist David Coverdale and bassist-vocalist Glenn Hughes. The title track "Burn" and "Mistreated" are the highlights of the album, full of energy and virtuosity. Although "What's Goin' on Here" and "A' 200" do not rise to the same level, the album as a whole shows the band's ability to renew itself. "Burn" is arguably one of Deep Purple's best albums and an essential listening experience. Aug 8, 2024

Deep Purple's 'In Rock' is the pinnacle of the band's career and one of the most significant rock albums of all time. This record redefined the sound of hard rock and heavy metal, setting the standard for generations to come. Tracks like 'Speed King', 'Bloodsucker' and 'Child in Time' showcase the band's aggressive yet melodic style that is unmatched. 'In Rock' is undoubtedly the band's best album and a cornerstone of rock history. Aug 6, 2024

Deep Purple's "Machine Head" is a rock classic, full of memorable songs like "Smoke on the Water" and "Highway Star". The album offers unforgettable moments and showcases the band's best skills. However, a few weaker tracks prevent it from rising above the band's true magnum opus, 'In Rock'. "In Rock" is more cohesive and intense as a whole, making it superior in Deep Purple's discography. Still, "Machine Head" deserves its place in the rock canon. Aug 6, 2024

Mar 30, 2025

DT caught my attention with their previous album and this one confirms my thoughts on them. I´m not so fond of their old stuffs but these 2 keep me on my feet and I will go back to them regularly. Mar 12, 2025

5 days ago

그 나이에 이게 데뷔앨범 이라는게 믿기지 않는다...다만 이때 모든 힘을 쏟은 것일까...ㅠ Mar 12, 2025

Probably Judas Priest's most commercially successful album, and it's extremely good. The song material is brilliant, and if we forget the existence of "Pain And Pleasure" and "Fever", it's perfect. The "Hellion/Electric Eye" duo is still one of the greatest opening tracks in metal history. The production is tuned to exactly the level that a band of this class should have. And then there's Rob Halford. Absolutely phenomenal, a top-3 Priest album for me. Mar 13, 2025

Rainbow leaves classic hard rock behind with their second album and begins to create the beginnings of the genre that would later be called power metal. The song material is practically perfect and the album features perhaps the strongest band line-up in history. The last two songs are pure masterpieces. If melodic old-school heavy metal with incredible vocal performances interests you, now you know where to look. Legendary! Mar 15, 2025

A bit weaker then previous 3 studio albums but saying that its still a very good album. Mar 15, 2025
