Ancient, flame spittingly good Melodic Black Metal. Impressive for a two piece band. Oct 24, 2015

People make money off of this. Actual fucking money. After a hard day's work being yelled at by the boss, some people rightfully earn money. Then some guys fucking come up with a weird-ass album, calling it "experimental black metal", and sell it to these tired and torn people. Shitholes. Oct 24, 2015

Disoriented, coarse, and straight-out shitty brutal thrash metal. Oct 24, 2015

Doom/Sludge Metal that has a lot to offer. The songs drag on a bit(some even have boring parts) but overall it's pretty listenable. The Sadistic Rites of Count Tabernacula's the best song. Excellent riffage. Oct 23, 2015

As of now I'm listening to this album non-stop. The stupendous job they did here with all the Middle Earth melodies is what makes this album one of a kind. Oct 22, 2015

Sonically very reminiscent of '80s Thrash Metal, especially the superb riffs that flow seamlessly. Still has a modern tinge to it though. Oct 20, 2015

Dream Theater can fucking suck on this! This is how you do Techincal Progressive Metal. Oct 20, 2015

Joel Grind's solo album bears a different feeling compared to his Toxic Holocaust work. Of course, his signature awesome riffs remain as a solid building block for the whole album. Oct 20, 2015

There's something that pulls me in, every time I listen to this album. That's why the songs, amidst all the brutality, carry a tightly packed gem called musical superiority. Oct 19, 2015

Manowar has steel armor clad on every single aspect of theirs; the visuals, the music, even the lyrics. I mean, come on, how many bands are macho, and at the same time, crazy amazing? Oct 19, 2015

I'm not "that" fond of track number one(frankly I think it isn't a fun song), but the rest of the album kicks ass. Oct 19, 2015

The album cover's badass, and it stands out as a visual representation of the feeling Manowar wants to give through their songs. Indeed, the songs are pretty badass, and what's better, good. Oct 19, 2015

Think this is one of Manowar's greatest albums. It's actually an amazingly pleasant and energetic experience, listening through the whole album from Fighting The World to Black Wind Fire and Steel. Oct 19, 2015

What protrudingly stands out are the amazing bass work, as well as the majestic vocals and melodies. (FYI: I got a few strange looks from people after admiring the album cover at a open public place.) Oct 19, 2015

Manowar's best work indeed! The songs are so great and full of energy! Fits for a gateway album to Metal for non-metalheads, I guess. Oct 19, 2015

It's a recognizable fact that Manowar turned their mast of musical direction towards more metallic songs. Very good decision indeed. Oct 19, 2015

MANOVVAR STARTED THEIR CARRER VVITH TRVE HARD ROCK.!!! Oct 19, 2015

There's a reason why these Armenian "musical geniuses" are so famous. Oct 19, 2015

I promise you, I had a period in my life where I listened to this all day long when I was deep into Nu Metal. Oct 19, 2015

System Of A Down's first album is an astonishingly powerful release, containing lots of catchy-riffed songs. Oct 19, 2015

Goddamn, I hate this band and their ideology so much! But the album.. It's just so fucking amazing. Oct 19, 2015

Really awesome Old School Melodic Death Metal/ Death&Roll work. The melodic riffs guide the songs in a very pleasant manner. Oct 19, 2015

Definitely an improvement from their former work. Carnifex are one of the most brutal Deathcore bands out there, definitely. Oct 17, 2015

Definitely a great Melodic Death Metal album. The band gives a substantially different feeling compared to all the sound-the-same Melodeath bands out there. Oct 17, 2015

Listening to this band is like listening to a schizophrenic patient talking; there's certainly something, but you just can't get it. Oct 17, 2015

Talk about OTDM : Overly Technical Death Metal. The songs are barely rememberable with all the changing riffs and polyrythmic song structures, but one thing is for sure: it's so mind blowingly fast and technical. Oct 17, 2015

The music makes sense when you imagine the band is actually those weird creatures in the album cover. Oct 16, 2015

Enjoyed this one a lot. As opposed to the plethora of modern Melodeath bands cladded with whiny clean vocals, they've got impressive, solid melodic lines carried by a medium so damn heavy and brutal. Oct 16, 2015

Strapping Young Lad violently catapults heavy, chaotic sounds at a persistent manner, and it may drive you nuts. Oct 16, 2015

This album ain't all that special, though the endlessly bashing drums and eardrum-demolishing sounds are a stress wiper that works wonders. Oct 16, 2015

Mar 30, 2025

I'm pretty sure this is the best debut in history. Sonata Arctica immediately does what they do best and the result is amazing. "FullMoon" is a great song. Mar 11, 2025

Great album but not at the level of the debut in my opinion. The band tries a bit of progressive direction with pretty good results, although some songs are quite weak. The end of the album is great. Good job Sonata! Mar 11, 2025

DT caught my attention with their previous album and this one confirms my thoughts on them. I´m not so fond of their old stuffs but these 2 keep me on my feet and I will go back to them regularly. Mar 12, 2025

4 days ago

Like "Silence", only 1000 times better. The band's absolute best album. Not all the songs are masterpieces, but the best ones are incredible and the atmosphere of the album is epic. Mar 11, 2025

그 나이에 이게 데뷔앨범 이라는게 믿기지 않는다...다만 이때 모든 힘을 쏟은 것일까...ㅠ Mar 12, 2025

Probably Judas Priest's most commercially successful album, and it's extremely good. The song material is brilliant, and if we forget the existence of "Pain And Pleasure" and "Fever", it's perfect. The "Hellion/Electric Eye" duo is still one of the greatest opening tracks in metal history. The production is tuned to exactly the level that a band of this class should have. And then there's Rob Halford. Absolutely phenomenal, a top-3 Priest album for me. Mar 13, 2025

Rainbow leaves classic hard rock behind with their second album and begins to create the beginnings of the genre that would later be called power metal. The song material is practically perfect and the album features perhaps the strongest band line-up in history. The last two songs are pure masterpieces. If melodic old-school heavy metal with incredible vocal performances interests you, now you know where to look. Legendary! Mar 15, 2025
