Simply put, this is the worst BMTH album of all time. The entire track list is a slog, and the only songs with any sort of replay-ability are a few of the singles. Ultimately, the critical failure of this album comes from its lack of innovation. Bring Me The Horizon has spent over a decade changing the metal scene with release after release. However, NeX GEn contains nothing but what the scene has spent the past year listening to. After so many delays pushed this album back, to have it come out this uncreative and uninspired is beyond disappointing. The amount of redeeming qualities is so few and far between that this whole album is below average. Every part is mediocre at best. Really disappointing from a top band in the scene.

As soon as I started the album, 'Dear Diary,' blasted my eardrums off. I got the feeling that it is the most similar to 'Crucify Me'.
