Second album "Dreamweaver" is even better and more varied than the first. Sabbat has managed to put out some very unique albums in their somehow short career. The production is cool, thick guitar sounds & great riffs to be found inside, and aggressive energy drums. "History of a Time To Come” is one of the most impressive Speed/Thrash Metal albums of its day. This is a dark, serious, spiteful record. The band sounded faster, tighter and more venomous than ever before. Martin Walkyier's vile, aggressive, but still melodic vocal style is the perfect vehicle to steer the endless cavalry of well-constructed, intense riffing. Album "Foregone" is return to form for In Flames. There is more Melodic Death Metal on this album, than Metalcore/Groove Metal, but otherwise it is pretty much what they've always been doing. It's just that this time around, most of it clicks for me. Swedes deserve a big plus for recruiting guitarist Chris Broderick, who with his high technical skills nicely colored the solo parts. "Made in Japan" is live album recorded during first tour of Japan in August 1972 and became a commercial and critical success record. The band did not consider the album to be important and only Glover and Paice showed up to mix it. Album "As in Gardens, So in Tombs" is built on great ideas and melodies, with frequent tempo changes. You can hear keyboards carry the melody, varied synthesizer sounds, melodic guitar riffs and fast cannonade of drums, which together make a good brand for Melodic Black Metal. "Sabotage" is a very well composed, presented and laid out album. It is truly excellent record with the original line-up before drug abuse and personal conflicts let to a first split. Sabotage might be one of the band's gloomiest and heaviest records of all times without losing the band's eerie and psychedelic vibe. Album was recorded in the midst of a legal battle with the band's former manager Patrick Meehan.   Feb 19, 2023

Musically, "Aphelion" is an album with pleasant melancholic atmosphere by use of keyboards, lighter arrangements, soft guitar beats and polished drums. New album is bleak, introverted and coming from a place of darkness, yet full of yearning and anticipation. Even though the music is quite a bit softer than their old albums, it is quite successful. The only problem I have is with the singing, which has changed in recent years and is unnaturally soft.   Feb 19, 2023

As with other Black Sabbath albums, the main strength on "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" is the epic heavy riffs. But there is less of the very dark and doomy sound and there was a rapid increase in sophistication in the overall song structures and progression. You can find here some very melodic and almost symphonicparts scattered about and there is also an increase usage of acoustic guitar and keys.   Feb 19, 2023

The band had been on a long hiatus after Insult to Injury, and their return with a different sound and in a different style was a disappointment for some fans, or some liked the album more than the previous efforts. "Virgin Killer" wows the listener with a fresh Rocking sound and an all around tighter musical base. Songs are catchier, more polished and Klaus Meine’s vocals are great. It was the band's 1st album to attract markedly attention outside Europe. Title is described as being a reference to time as the killer of innocence. "In Trance" is another absolute essential album and there's no dull moments on this record. This was the first of two studio albums to feature drummer Rudy Lenners, and the first album by the band to contain the now-famous logo and controversial artwork. "Lonesome Crow" is the debut album by the German Hard Rock band Scorpions. In support of "Lonesome Crow", Scorpions toured as the opening act for the British rock band UFO. At the end of the tour Scorpions lead guitarist Michael Schenker was asked to fill an open position as UFO's guitarist and accepted the position. I like Scorpions, but it took me a few years to appreciate their music and overall quality. "Fly to the Rainbow" is their second studio album and was their first release with guitarist Uli Jon Roth and bassist Francis Buchholz, and the only one to include drummer Jürgen Rosenthal (all from "Dawn Road" band). Invasion marks the beginning of Manilla Road's long and interesting journey. It's definitely an album worth listening to, although it can hardly stand among the group's finest work. This album is only 35 minutes long. The riffs all maintained an amount of Rock attitude and fervor. In terms of professionalism and technicality this is hardly what most would consider particularly excellent. But in many ways this album signifies the slight beginning of what some would term the classic Manilla Road sound. I think the sound still owes a fair amount to '70s Psychedelic/Hard Rock, whereas there are occasional hints of old school Heavy Metal.   Feb 18, 2023

"Mob Rules" is second Black Sabbath release with Ronnie James Dio and the magic is still alive and true. Musically, the band is going for faster numbers and tighter song arrangement, although there is no lack of Sabbath's trademark gloom and doom. Although this album is not quite as influencial as it's predecessor, it contains all the same elements that made the first album great.   Feb 18, 2023

Many fans have prejudices about the given album, but Ian Gillan is an awesome singer and the music is very good chunky Heavy Metal with some doomier moments and great guitar riffs. Music was building still on the Ward-Iommi-Butler line-up. Gillan voice, pushed the band back into their 1970's prime in terms of writing and provided a multi-octave vocal assault to many of the classic tracks.   Feb 18, 2023

아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025

The "Ram It Down" is a very underrated album, but in 1988 in the german Metal Hammer looked like a new classic by the soundcheck.Otherwise the "Ram it Down" and the "Hard As Iron"(with thundering riff) are great fast classic Priest songs. LA메탈의 시작을 알리는 역사적 데뷔작. 빈스닐의 거친 코맹맹이 보컬은 아직 뚫리기 전이고 믹과 토미의 연주도 거칠다. 그런데 합주가 시작되면 니키의 베이스와 어우러져 아주 그럴싸한 곡들이 나온다. 아니, 앨범 전체 곡들의 멜로디가 좋아서 버릴 곡들이 없다. 몇개 히트곡에 의존했던 3,4집과는 수준차이가 크며 2집에도 크게 뒤지지 않는다.   Mar 8, 2025
