Has some good songs & a lot of filler songs. Much better than Reload. I think it's also better than Hardwired to Self-Destruct. Would have been a good album if only the best songs from Load & Reload were released as one album & rest of the filler songs were removed. Sign of the Cross is easily among Maiden's top 10 songs. Judgement of Heaven & Man on the Edge are the other highlights on the album. The Unbeliever is the worst album closer by Maiden. The album could get boring as most of the songs are slow & dark. It's definitely missing Martin Birch's production & Bruce's vocals (Blaze does a decent job). It is not as bad as it is portrayed by many. It could actually be Maiden's best album from the 90's.   Feb 3, 2022

Killers, Wrathchild & Rue Morgue are my favorites from the album. Drifter is one of their weakest album closers. Another life, Innocent Exile & Drifer suffer from repetitive verses. This could be a semi-concept album as all songs seem to be related. Has better production than the debut album. This is slightly better than the debut (Even though I like Phantom of the Opera more than any song on this). But all the 80's Maiden albums that followed this are way better than this.   Feb 3, 2022

Horrible production. The Day that Never Comes & All Nightmare Long are the highlights of the album. Suicide & Redemption and The End of the Line could have been shortened. This is the best Metallica Album. Track 1 is thrashier than everything from KEA. It also has an amazing harmonized solo. The title track has Kirk's best solo and the main riff is amazing. Bells is fantastic. It has one of the best intros ever. Fade to Black is one of the best ballads ever. Escape is the weakest song on the album & feels out of place. Creeping Death is the best track on the album. It also has my favourite riff ever. Ktulu is my favourite instrumental ever.   Mar 12, 2021

자기복제에 빠진 프록메탈의 제왕. 삼십년의 세월을 거스를 수 는 없었는지 노력한 티는 많이 드러나나 성공적이었다고는 볼 수 없다. 존의 기타도 차력쑈 이상은 보여주지 못하고 있고 특히 포트노이는 익숙하고 반복적인 패턴의 드럼 필인만을 남발하여 곡에 전혀 도움이 되지 못하고 있다. 다음 작품이 제왕의 운명을 결정하지 않을까 싶다.   Mar 2, 2025

아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025
