'제대로' 장르의 특성을 짚고 있다. 오컬트적인 느낌 속에 창시자인 베놈과 그 젖을 빨아먹은 Onslaught, Nifelheim 같은 부류의 사운드를 그대로 계승하고 있다. 최근에서 찾아본다면 Vomit Of Doom을 좋아했던 이라면 환장하고 들을 것이다. Urn 같은 경우냐 묻는다면 Urn은 오히려 너무 세련되었다 말하고 싶고. 마지막 Sabbat의 커버곡인 Mion's Hill은 진짜... 와우!   4 days ago

베헤리트의 곡 Sadomatic Rites에서 밴드명을 따온 것 같은데... 매우 음침하고 원초적인, 정말로 Primitive 그 자체의 분위기를 보여준다. 은근히 초창기 미국의 블랙/둠 적인 (그러니까 Von이나 Goatlord 같은...) 부분도 보인다. 같은 것이 꽤 오랫동안 반복되는 걸까 싶을 때 보컬이나 템포의 변화를 주거나 하면서 자칫 산만해질 수 있는 부분을 다시 잘 이끌어주고 있다.   4 days ago

Aftermath is Technical/Progressive Thrash Metal which released only one album in the 90s, then disbanded for a long time. 드디어 이들의 약점이었던 절제된 기타솔로가 어느정도 해금되었습니다. 지난 앨범도 만족스러웠는데 역시나 이번에도 실망하지 않게 해주네요. 나이가 들어감에 따라 내가 좋아하는 밴드들도 하나둘씩 늙어가고 멤버들도 세상을 떠나는 걸 보니 매우 슬프네요. 반덴플라스는 계속 음악활동 왕성히 해주었으면 좋겠습니다   May 8, 2024

리치가 베이스를 1–3, 6를 연주했다. 그 외의 스튜디오는 밥 데이즐리 연주. 어렸을 때에는 1,5를 굉장히 좋아했었는데 문제는 5를 라센 시기에는 듣질 못했었다. 지금은 오히려 4번 같은 곡이 애청곡이 되었다. 앨범으로 기준으로도 1,2집보다 더 좋아했던 기억이 있다. 8번은 역시나 디오의 또 다른 보컬 맛을 느끼기 좋은 곡. 디오 재적시의 앨범은 영원할 것 같다.   Apr 20, 2024

3인조 코로너의 전 앨범 특히 2,3,4집을 좋아합니다. 옛날에 3집을 LP로 구입했었는데 속지에 시계, 스위스, 큰 글자로 '그로테스크' 라고 적힌 기억이.. 이후 90년대 중후반에 걸쳐서 전 앨범을 시디로 하나씩 모았죠. 30년간 신보를 안 내고 재결성 후에 아직도 활동하는 것도 특이한데, 그만큼 고정팬들이 많다는거 거겠죠.   Apr 25, 2024

개인적으로 이 앨범을 그렇게 좋아하지 않는다. 이 앨범이야 말로 방향성이 애매했던 프로듀싱과 작곡으로 생각보다 안좋네 라고 생각했던 앨범. 물론 메탈 갓이 주다스의 시그니쳐로 쓰이기는 한데 이 곡도 애매하다. 브레이킹 더 로나 리빙도 맘에 안들고 물론 관중과 싱어롱할때는 좋긴 하다고 생각은 하지만 말이다. 75-80점.6번 8번이 의외로 좋다.   May 8, 2024

군터 베르노의 부재가 오히려 곡의 diversity가 증가하는 방향으로 귀결되어 조금 변화된 VP를 느낄수있다. 그 와중에 코어는 전혀 흔들리지 않고 너무나 탄탄한 장르의 전형을 보여주는 뛰어난 앨범이다. 이들 특유의 늘어짐이 가끔은 지루하기도 하지만, 이정도 내공에 이정도 앨범을 찍어내는 이들은 결코 없으므로, 이제 당연히 명예의 전당에 입성해야 한다.   6 days ago
