The band's most consistent ensemble. Not a single bad song. The production is strong and the singer shines. Great album. Quite dark but also beautiful. Lots of acoustic music. Underrated in my opinion!   4 days ago

Significantly weaker than the previous 2 but still a quality album. The first 4 songs are great, after that the level drops. On this album the band makes significantly heavier music which for me is a bit of a threshold issue when I think about which Pantera album I'm going to listen to. This is probably my favorite of the three FNA Demo/Rare albums FNA released. You get to hear the early versions of Phantom Rider and Love's a Bitch as well as the original take of Walkin' Shoes. Those 3 songs of course made their debut major label album, Surprise attack. Those songs and a few others came from a hard to find EP they did before they were even signed from what I have read! 아무래도 이 1집에서는 많은 이들이 Sweet Child o' Mine을 꼽겠지만, 내게 있어서 이 앨범 최고의 곡은 절대적으로 Nightrain이다. 밴드의 정체성, 색깔, 연주력 등을 한 번에 대변해주는 곡이랄까. 심지어 가사까지 말이다. 같이 늙어간다는 말이 어울리겠지만, 그때의 열정 속에서 Nightrain을 외치고 연주를 하던 그들의 모습은 정말로 젊음의 영웅이자 양아치였다.   Mar 19, 2025

The song material is practically perfect and the album features perhaps the strongest band line-up in history. The last two songs are pure masterpieces.
