고2때 처음 들었던 드림씨어터 2집은 개인적으로 숔였다. 뭔가 난해한듯 했지만 미려한 멜로디와 박자하나하나가 심장에 꽂히는 듯 알수 없는 희열에 도취되었는데 뒤늦게 듣게된 이들의 데뷔작에서도 싫을듯 끌리는 묘한 맛을 느낄수 있었다. 그건 아마도 라브리에 드림씨어터에 지친 내귀가 다른 프록을 찾기보단 오히려 1집에서 훨씬더 안정적인 즐거움을 찾았던게 아닌가 싶다.

네. 드림씨어터가 초대보컬로 찰리를 택한건 아마 러쉬의 영향이 아니였을까하는 생각도 해봅니다. 20년이 넘게 the killing hand는 제 킬링트랙이네요ㅎ.ㅎ
